Dr. Kat Viert
DVM
Dr. Kat Viert, a Fort Collins native, has always had a deep love for animals and giving back to her community. After graduating from Midwestern’s College of Veterinary Medicine in Glendale, Arizona, she knew she would find her way back to Fort Collins. Colorado has always held a special place in her heart. Dr. Viert has always been driven to be a great and empathetic resource to her patients, clients, and colleagues. Her passions range from seeing pocket pets, performing soft tissue surgery, pain management, nutrition, and preventive medicine- especially when working with clients to develop the best plan for their beloved family members together. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her fur kids and family. As an unabashed and self-proclaimed nerd, Kat is often found gaming with her husband, Andy, or playing board games with friends. Dr. Viert will also hunt for any excuse to be outside with her two dogs, Merlin and Kiki. And occasionally her handsome cat, Toothless will get to join in the fun too! You can catch her exploring the outdoors in the summer or cuddling up on the couch with Merlin and Toofie, a steaming cup of tea, and her most recent art project in the winter.
